BBQ Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients

• 5 Jalapeno peppers

• 4 oz cream cheese

• 2 oz shredded cheddar cheese

• ½ Tbsp Garlic Powder

• 6 slices sugar free bacon, cut in half

• ½ cup sugar free BBQ sauce

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil
2. Cut jalapenos in half, lengthwise, and remove seeds and scrape the insides
3. Mix all remaining ingredients and spoon into the jalapeno halves, dividing equally.
4. Using ½ slice of bacon for each popper, wrap around and secure with 2 toothpicks
5. Bake for 45 minutes until the tops are golden brown
6. Remove from the oven and remove toothpicks
7. Turn oven to a medium broil
8. Brush poppers with the BBQ sauce and return to the oven on an upper shelf
9. Broil for 5 minutes until the bacon is crisp

Notes

These can be prepared in advance and leftovers keep for up to a week. Reheat in the oven to keep the bacon crispy.
