Maple Tea Biscuits

Ingredients

- 1/3 cup butter, softened

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 cup coconut flour

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp sea salt

- 1/4 tsp xanathan gum

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/4 tsp maple extract

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Cream butter with eggs until combined.
4. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
5. Add dry ingredients to butter and egg mixture and combine well.
6. Add vanilla and maple extracts.
7. Allow dough to rest for 12 minutes.
8. Drop 2 tablespoons of dough onto baking sheet for each biscuit. (Optional: Use a 2" cookie scoop)
9. Using wet fingertips, press each ball into a 3" in circle, 1/4 inch thick.
10. Bake for 15 minutes and let cool completely before serving.

Notes

For Savory Biscuits, omit the extracts and top biscuits with Everything bagel seasonings before baking.
